About Me

Hi, I'm Katie. I was born and raised in a small town outside of Cleveland, Ohio. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Kent State University, having been the first person in my family to go to college. While an undergraduate, I became fascinated with sociology and political science. In particular, studying sociology ignited a passion for social justice that I have carried with me throughout my career and life.
I obtained my master’s degree at the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. I later earned my professional coaching certification from Duquesne University, also in Pittsburgh. I am an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation and am also a certified in the DISC behavior assessment. I have spent my career empowering others through work in the public and nonprofit sectors, mostly in Pittsburgh with a stint in Austin, TX. I enjoy variety in all that I do - variety is the spice of life.
I coach through a process of discovery and action, where clients align their strengths and values towards a path of self fulfillment and growth. I believe self awareness is critical to living an authentic life and pursuing a meaningful career. I'm an avid proponent of work/life balance and the restorative power of nature and community.
