About Me
Hi, I'm Katie, a professional coach and owner of New Narrative LLC, a coaching and nonprofit community-based consultancy. I was born and raised in a small town outside of Cleveland, Ohio. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Kent State University, having been the first person in my family to go to college. While an undergraduate, I became fascinated with sociology and political science. In particular, studying sociology ignited a passion for social justice that I have carried with me throughout my career and life.
I obtained my master’s degree at the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. I later earned my professional coaching certification from Duquesne University, also in Pittsburgh. I am a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation and am also a certified in the DISC behavior assessment. Prior to launching New Narrative, I spent my career empowering others through work in the public and nonprofit sectors.

I coach through a process of discovery and action, where clients align their strengths and values towards a path of fulfillment and growth. The heart of my work involves supporting individuals, leaders, and organizations working hard for positive impact and the systems that support vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable communities. I facilitate productive engagements for teams and groups by helping them think more systemically and realize concrete results. I offer one-on-one coaching; thoughtful community building and engagement; strategic synthesis, and cross-functional meeting facilitation.

I'm an avid proponent of work/life balance and the restorative power of nature and community.
